Interpreting
for Different Settings
Educational
Settings
We
can provide interpreters for a wide range of educational settings
including school reviews, internal or external disciplinary
issues, careers service interviews, Deaf teaching staff in
supervisions, team meetings and Ofsted inspections.
We
can also provide interpreters in the classroom and lecture
halls for all types of educational work ranging from primary
school to MBA’s.
Deaf-Blind
manual and Deaf- Blind Hands-On Signing
We
have a pool of experienced and qualified interpreters who
can work with people who are deaf-blind or who have limited
vision. This is in all settings ranging from counselling and
health to large scale conferences.
Legal
Work and Child Protection
Interpreting
in legal settings carries with it special knowledge of the
legal arena as well as specialist skills. We have interpreters
who have many years experience in this field and cover the
whole range of settings. These include police and solicitor’s
interviews as well as court appearances up to and including
crown courts.
Employment
Many
deaf people working in business or any employment setting
will find communication support, such as interpreters or speech
to text reporters, essential to their job. They are frequently
provided for staff meetings, supervisions, staff training
courses or communicating on the telephone. We work in all
environments including factories, social services and internet
companies.
Theatre
and the Arts
Our
staff and freelancers have trained in and have experience
of working in the theatre. We can provide interpreters for
rehearsals as well as on stage during the production. We can
also work with museums and art galleries to provide BSL interpreted
tours.
